About the role
The Public Affairs Lead will support Heineken Myanmar in shaping and executing its public affairs agenda. This role provides regulatory and policy insights, monitors reputational risks, and coordinates stakeholder engagement to protect the company’s licence to operate.
Key responsibilities
- Monitor, research and analyse regulatory, legislative and public policy developments affecting Heineken Myanmar and the wider industry.
- Track industry trends, emerging issues and stakeholder activities to identify risks, opportunities and business implications.
- Analyse media coverage and stakeholder sentiment, escalating key issues to support reputation management.
- Plan and coordinate stakeholder engagements, industry association activities, meetings, events and public affairs initiatives.
- Prepare, review and manage public affairs documentation such as briefing materials, position papers, fact sheets and presentations.
- Maintain public affairs databases, stakeholder records and advocacy materials, ensuring accuracy and accessibility.
- Collaborate with Corporate Affairs, Legal, Commercial, Supply Chain and People functions to support business priorities and ensure timely reporting.
- Provide administrative support for public affairs activities, ensuring compliance with internal governance and Heineken standards.
Required profile
- Bachelor's degree in Law, Communications, Journalism, English, Political Science, Public Policy, International Relations or a related field.
- 5‑8 years of experience in public affairs, government relations, corporate affairs, communications, legal or compliance.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Myanmar.
- Analytical thinking with the ability to assess regulatory developments and provide practical business insights.
- Excellent stakeholder and communication skills, able to build relationships and engage confidently.
- Adaptability and agility to thrive in a dynamic environment and respond to changing priorities.
- Integrity, professionalism and sound judgment, upholding Heineken’s values and ethical standards.
- Attention to detail with strong writing, coordination and organisational abilities.
