Public Affairs Lead

About the role

The Public Affairs Lead will support HEINEKEN Myanmar in shaping and executing its public affairs agenda. This role provides regulatory and policy insights, monitors reputational risks, and coordinates stakeholder engagement to protect the company’s license to operate.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor, research and analyse regulatory, legislative and public policy developments affecting HEINEKEN and the wider industry.
• Track industry trends, emerging issues and stakeholder activities to identify risks and opportunities.
• Analyse media coverage and stakeholder sentiment, escalating key issues for reputation management.
• Plan and coordinate stakeholder engagements, industry association activities, meetings, events and public affairs initiatives.
• Prepare, review and manage public affairs documentation such as briefing materials, position papers, fact sheets and official correspondence.
• Maintain public affairs databases, stakeholder records and advocacy materials, ensuring accuracy and accessibility.
• Collaborate with Corporate Affairs, Legal, Commercial, Supply Chain and People teams to support business priorities and compliance.
• Provide administrative support for public affairs activities and contribute to broader Corporate Affairs projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Law, Communications, Journalism, English, Political Science, Public Policy, International Relations or related field.
• 5‑8 years of experience in public affairs, government relations, corporate affairs, communications or legal & compliance.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Myanmar.
• Experience in a multinational or highly regulated environment is an advantage.
