Protection Team Leader

About the role

In collaboration with the Senior Protection Manager and Protection Manager (Rakhine), the Protection Team Leader will support day‑to‑day implementation of protection programming in Rakhine and improve the technical capacities of protection monitors. The role includes coordinating data collection, supervising field staff, and ensuring timely shelter and non‑food‑item assessments.

Key responsibilities

• Lead coordination of data collection and analysis to produce monthly protection trend reports for the Rakhine area.
• Supervise and support field staff, including participation in monitoring missions and development of individual work plans.
• Act as focal point for the protection network, overseeing quality monitoring, information dissemination, case referrals, and trend analysis.
• Implement emergency response pre‑positioning based on community‑identified protection needs.
• Assess training and capacity‑building needs of staff and partners and help design and deliver capacity‑building plans.
• Develop and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders, including CSOs, NGOs, INGOs and community leaders.

Required profile

• Myanmar national.
• Proven experience in protection programming, monitoring and vulnerability mapping.
• Ability to supervise, mentor and build capacity of protection monitors and mobilizers.
• Strong analytical skills for data collection, trend analysis and report writing.
• Experience coordinating with NGOs, CSOs and community leaders in humanitarian settings.
