Project Engineer (Fit-Out Control)

About the role

We are looking for a Project Engineer specialized in Fit-Out Control to supervise and coordinate tenant fit-out works. The role ensures that all construction activities comply with approved designs, landlord guidelines and safety standards while maintaining clear documentation and reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee tenant fit-out activities, ensuring work follows approved drawings and interior fit-out guidelines.
• Brief contractors on site rules, working hours and safety requirements, and coordinate to minimise disturbance to other tenants.
• Inspect partitions, ceilings, flooring, wall finishes and carpentry for quality and compliance, and verify that modifications do not affect building systems.
• Review tenant submissions (drawings, method statements, material samples) and maintain records of approvals, inspections and communications.
• Enforce PPE and site safety rules, monitor waste management, noise and housekeeping, and halt unsafe work.
• Prepare daily inspection records and provide regular reports on non-compliance, risks and progress to management.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of experience in fit-out supervision, interior works or MEP coordination.
• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Interior Design, Mechanical, Electrical or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of interior fit-out standards, building systems and safety regulations.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical documents.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills, capable of handling multiple projects under pressure.
