Project Assistant – TVET Programme

About the role

The Project Assistant will support the day‑to‑day implementation of a Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET) project across Shan, Kayin and Kachin states. Working under the Project Officer‑TVET, the role contributes to inclusive development for children and youth by delivering equitable, demand‑driven TVET opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Collect and enter baseline, end‑line and other assessment data for the programme.
• Facilitate field meetings for beneficiary selection and community committee formation.
• Ensure vulnerable families receive programme benefits through transparent, participatory selection.
• Manage partner activities to keep training schedules aligned with target beneficiaries.
• Monitor partner work plans, budgets and develop weekly logistics plans.
• Coordinate daily with project managers, coordinators, officers and partner staff.
• Support field visits and organise capacity‑building workshops, awareness sessions and review meetings.
• Work with MEAL staff to monitor and document project progress.
• Assist in procurement, maintenance and repair of project equipment and supplies.
• Liaise with township, village/camp authorities and departmental officials as required.

Required profile

• Experience in field‑based project implementation, preferably in TVET or education programmes.
• Ability to collect, manage and enter programme data accurately.
• Experience coordinating with partners, beneficiaries and local authorities.
• Familiarity with child safeguarding Level 3 requirements.
• Willingness to travel regularly to project sites in Shan, Kayin and Kachin.
