Programme Assistant (Saving Lives Together Associate)

About the role

The Department of Safety and Security (UNDSS) is seeking a Programme Assistant to support the Saving Lives Together (SLT) framework in Myanmar. Working under the Chief Security Adviser, you will help coordinate security collaboration between the United Nations and humanitarian partners in a complex environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in planning, coordinating and implementing the SLT programme across Myanmar.
• Research, compile, analyse and present data related to security programmes and projects.
• Support preparation and monitoring of programme proposals, ensuring documentation is complete and submitted for approval.
• Facilitate workshops, trainings and field visits as required for SLT implementation.
• Maintain communication with UN and non‑UN partners to enhance information sharing and risk management.

Required profile

• University degree or equivalent experience in international relations, security studies, humanitarian affairs or a related field.
• Demonstrated ability to work in complex, multi‑stakeholder environments.
• Strong analytical and reporting skills.
• Willingness to travel within Myanmar for field activities.
