Product Development Manager

About the role

Prudential Myanmar is seeking a Product Development Manager to own the end‑to‑end product lifecycle, from ideation through launch and ongoing portfolio management. The role focuses on creating customer‑centric, commercially viable insurance products that drive growth while ensuring regulatory compliance and market competitiveness.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the development of new product propositions and enhancements by identifying customer needs, market opportunities, and emerging industry trends.
• Develop product concepts, specification documents, and business requirements aligned with Prudential Myanmar’s strategic objectives.
• Manage the product portfolio and roadmap, ensuring timely delivery of development initiatives.
• Coordinate product implementation with Actuarial, Technology, Operations, Distribution, Marketing, Compliance and other stakeholders.
• Translate product features into functional specifications and oversee system implementation, testing, and deployment.
• Monitor product performance, recommending actions to improve customer value, sales, persistency, profitability and operational efficiency.
• Support product launch and post‑launch activities, ensuring operational readiness and effective market execution.
• Ensure all products comply with regulatory requirements, internal governance standards and product management frameworks.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance or a related discipline (LOMA certification is a plus).
• Minimum 8 years of experience in product development, product management or business analysis, preferably within insurance or financial services.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of product lifecycle management from concept to launch.
• Ability to translate product ideas into detailed specifications and functional requirements.
• Experience collaborating cross‑functionally with actuarial, technology, operations, distribution, marketing and compliance teams.
• Analytical capability to monitor product performance and drive improvements in sales, persistency and profitability.
