Phase Pastoral Leader (Student Management)

About the role

The Phase Pastoral Leader will create a safe, disciplined and inclusive environment for secondary students at KINGS International School. This role oversees student behaviour, wellbeing and parent concerns, ensuring consistent application of pastoral policies.

Key responsibilities

• Lead student discipline and behaviour management, acting as the primary escalation point for incidents and implementing interventions.
• Communicate with parents on behaviour and wellbeing issues, facilitate meetings and manage complaints confidentially.
• Monitor student social and emotional wellbeing, identify those needing additional support and coordinate with counsellors and safeguarding staff.
• Lead phase assemblies and activities that promote school values, positive culture and consistent conduct standards.
• Track attendance and behavioural trends, prepare pastoral reports and maintain accurate records.
• Ensure compliance with safeguarding, child protection and student welfare policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology, Counselling, Social Sciences or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in teaching, pastoral care or student behaviour management, preferably in an international school.
• Strong knowledge of child development, behaviour management and safeguarding procedures.
• Excellent communication, conflict‑resolution and parent‑relationship skills.
