M&E Technician – Electrical Maintenance

About the role

The M&E Technician will ensure that all electrical equipment at the International Bulk Terminal operates safely, reliably and efficiently. This includes routine maintenance, fault diagnosis and coordination with manufacturers and contractors to keep power and utility systems running smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain electrical panels, generators, power systems and related equipment according to manufacturer guidelines.
• Conduct preventive maintenance schedules, routine inspections and testing of alarms, CCTV, fire protection and security systems.
• Perform repairs on wiring, distribution boards, junction boxes, motors, transformers, lighting and sewage systems.
• Diagnose electrical faults, implement corrective actions and keep detailed log sheets.
• Coordinate diesel fuel, water supply and spare‑parts ordering for generators and other equipment.
• Supervise external contractors for specialized repairs and liaise with local township engineers for power supply information.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience as an Electrical Engineer or Technician, preferably in a port, marine, terminal or industrial environment.
• Degree or Diploma in Electrical Power, Electrical/Electronics, Power Engineering or a Junior Electro‑Technical Officer (ETO) Certificate of Competency.
