M&E Technician – Data Center Operations Officer

About the role

The Data Center M&E Technician ensures that all mechanical and electrical systems operate reliably to prevent downtime. Working in rotating shifts, the officer monitors and maintains critical infrastructure to support 24×7 data center operations.

Key responsibilities

• Perform regular maintenance and troubleshooting of generators, UPS, CRAC, ATS, and fire suppression systems.
• Monitor data‑center monitoring platforms for alerts, alarms, and abnormal conditions, and respond promptly.
• Conduct daily checks and functional testing of critical equipment, including PDUs, MDB panels, and HVAC components.
• Report issues to senior technicians and implement corrective actions to maintain 100% uptime.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum two years of experience in data‑center operations or similar facilities management.
• Positive attitude, teamwork orientation, and ability to complete duties efficiently.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical and fire‑suppression systems in a data‑center environment.
• Hands‑on experience with generators, UPS, CRAC, ATS, PDUs, DX cooling and related control panels.
• Familiarity with data‑center monitoring systems and alarm management.
• Basic understanding of electrical and electronic devices and office machines.
