Junior Accountant

About the role

The Junior Accountant will support the Finance & Accounting Department in daily accounting operations and assist the Finance Manager with reporting and month‑end activities. This entry‑level position ensures accurate recording of cash flows, invoices, and other financial documents in line with company policies.

Key responsibilities

• Record and maintain daily accounting transactions.
• Process cash and bank transactions, performing reconciliations.
• Review customer and supplier invoices for accuracy.
• Maintain Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) records.
• Prepare payment, receipt, and journal vouchers.
• Assist with monthly closing and financial reporting.
• Support tax and statutory reporting requirements.
• Organise accounting records and provide documentation for internal and external audits.
• Perform other accounting tasks as assigned by senior staff.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance or related field.
• LCCI Level II/III or similar qualifications preferred.
• 1–2 years of accounting or finance experience, or recent graduate with relevant education.
• Strong attention to detail, honesty, and ability to meet deadlines.
• Good teamwork and communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Experience with accounting software (preferred).
