IT Support Assistant

About the role

The IT Support Assistant will provide day‑to‑day technical assistance to staff and students, ensuring that the college’s IT services run smoothly and efficiently. This role supports productivity across the institution by handling user requests, troubleshooting issues, and maintaining key IT infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to help‑desk tickets, anticipate problems, and resolve unexpected issues.
• Assist the Helpdesk Technician and Systems Administrator with user support and network‑related tasks.
• Support Office 365 and SharePoint usage, including site management, app configuration, groups, and permissions.
• Maintain printing and photocopying equipment and ensure their effective operation.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Operations Head and IT Manager.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related field.
• Minimum of three years’ experience in IT, preferably within an educational environment.
• Strong knowledge of ICT infrastructure, network management, and email/website systems.
• Experience in project implementation and managing networking solutions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
