Humanitarian Finance Associate (National Consultant)

About the role

The Programme Finance Associate supports UNFPA's Humanitarian Unit in Myanmar, providing financial, administrative and programme assistance to ensure timely, efficient and compliant delivery of humanitarian activities.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in programme formulation, work‑plan creation and budget revisions using Quantum/Oracle systems.
• Maintain partner contact lists, databases and digital filing systems for implementing partners and donors.
• Track work‑plan progress, monitor budget commitments and generate financial updates with Power‑BI.
• Verify project financial reports (e‑FACE) for accuracy and compliance before clearance.
• Support HACT assurance activities, conduct spot checks and coach partners on UNFPA financial rules.

Required profile

• Completed secondary education; a bachelor’s degree in Public/Business Administration, Finance, Commerce or related field is preferred.
• Minimum six years of relevant experience in programme, administration, finance or office management (or three years with a university degree).
• Excellent written and verbal English skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Quantum/Oracle‑based applications.
• Experience using Power‑BI for financial analytics.
• Familiarity with e‑FACE financial reporting system.
• Strong command of Microsoft Office suite.
