HSE Officer – Theft Prevention & Safety Management

About the role

The HSE Officer will lead theft‑prevention and safety initiatives across the region, ensuring that security incidents are analysed, reported and mitigated while maintaining compliance with health, safety and environmental standards.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct daily analysis of theft cases, implement anti‑theft measures and provide timely incident reporting.
• Prepare and submit weekly reports (Theft, FIR, Site Inspection, Security Colour Code, High‑Risk Site, Anti‑Theft) and upload them to the reporting system.
• Perform risk assessments for personnel, operations and maintenance activities and enforce safe work practices for fuel handling, civil works, electrical, mechanical systems and work at heights.
• Carry out regular site inspections, safety audits, awareness sessions and toolbox talks to strengthen safety culture.
• Coordinate with operations, security teams and local stakeholders to safeguard assets and ensure environmental compliance (fuel storage, waste management, spill prevention, noise and air pollution).
• Monitor PPE availability and compliance across all operational sites.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
• Professional certification in Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) or Security Management.
• Minimum 3 years of HSE experience in telecom, power, construction or similar infrastructure sectors.
• Proven experience in theft prevention, site security management and field safety practices, preferably in remote or high‑risk environments.
• Strong knowledge of HSE regulations, risk‑assessment methodologies and incident‑investigation procedures.
• Excellent communication, coordination and training abilities.
