Head of Programmes for Myanmar

About the role

People in Need (PIN) is seeking a senior leader to head its programme portfolio in Myanmar. Reporting to the Country Director and working within the Country Management Team, you will ensure high‑impact, results‑oriented implementation of all projects across the country.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the development and execution of the Country Strategic Plan, work plan and programme reviews.
• Oversee the design, management and delivery of programmes in line with PIN policies, strategies and guidelines.
• Develop and maintain a Programme Risk Matrix tailored to the Myanmar context.
• Drive fundraising strategy and collaborate with the Funding Unit and Country Director.
• Strengthen partnerships with civil‑society organisations and ensure localisation principles are applied.
• Supervise results‑based monitoring and evaluation systems and guide future programme strategy.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in programme management within humanitarian or development settings.
• Proven senior leadership experience, preferably in an NGO or international organisation.
• Strong understanding of localisation, partnership building and donor engagement.
• Ability to work collaboratively with senior management and external stakeholders.
