Head of Card Business

About the role

The Head of Card Business will lead the Card & Digital Banking team, overseeing credit, debit and prepaid card lines. This senior leadership position is responsible for turning strategy into measurable results and driving growth across the card portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the overall card business, covering credit, debit and prepaid cards.
• Drive card acquisition, activation, usage, transaction volume and revenue.
• Own product strategy, portfolio performance and the business P&L.
• Lead, coach and set targets for the Card Business team.
• Develop new card products, campaigns, customer propositions and partnerships.
• Drive merchant acquiring, POS and e‑commerce initiatives in collaboration with relevant teams.
• Collaborate with Card Operations, IT, Risk, Finance, Branches, Marketing and other stakeholders.
• Manage relationships with Visa, Mastercard, UnionPay and key partners.
• Use customer and transaction data to identify opportunities and improve performance.
• Support senior management on strategy, planning, budgeting and performance reporting.
• Report directly to the Head of Card & Digital Banking.

Required profile

• Solid experience in cards, payments or retail banking.
• Strong commercial mindset and ability to lead cross‑functional teams.
• Proven track record of delivering results in a fast‑moving environment.
• Ownership, execution focus, collaboration and a business‑first attitude.
• Passion for building and growing a modern card business.
