Head of Bancassurance

About the role

The Head of Bancassurance will design and execute the bank’s Bancassurance strategy, aligning it with overall business objectives. This senior position leads the integration of insurance products into the bank’s service portfolio and drives growth across branch and digital channels.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and monitor a comprehensive Bancassurance strategy.
• Partner with insurance companies to negotiate and tailor products for the bank’s customers.
• Handle customer complaints related to insurance services.
• Integrate insurance offerings with existing banking services.
• Increase sales through branch networks and digital platforms.
• Set and achieve annual sales targets, providing close supervision of performance.
• Report insurance sales performance regularly to senior management.
• Lead awareness and educational programs to promote insurance benefits.
• Manage and mentor the Bancassurance team.
• Deliver product training to bank staff.

Required profile

• University degree (Bachelor’s minimum).
• At least 5 years of combined experience in banking and insurance.
• Master’s degree in Insurance, Business Administration, Finance or related field preferred.
• Professional insurance certification is a plus.
• Strong communication and team‑leadership abilities.
