Group Chief Security Officer

About the role

Our client, a diversified industrial group operating across energy, oil & gas, refinery and infrastructure sectors in Myanmar, is seeking a Group Chief Security Officer. Reporting directly to the Group CEO, the CSO will lead the development and execution of a comprehensive security strategy that safeguards people, assets, information and business continuity across all locations.

Key responsibilities

• Define and govern the Group‑wide security framework, including risk assessment, policy development and compliance.
• Oversee physical security operations such as access control, CCTV monitoring, asset protection and loss‑prevention programmes.
• Lead investigations into fraud, theft, misconduct and security breaches, coordinating with law‑enforcement and regulatory bodies.
• Develop and manage crisis preparedness, emergency response, business continuity and executive protection plans.
• Drive adoption of appropriate security technologies and ensure their effective integration.
• Build and mentor a high‑performing security team, fostering a culture of vigilance and integrity.

Required profile

• Proven senior security leadership experience in complex, multi‑site organisations, preferably within energy, manufacturing, logistics, infrastructure or related sectors.
• Strong track record of working with government authorities, law‑enforcement agencies and external security partners.
• Bachelor’s degree in Security Management, Law, Military Science, Public Administration, Business Administration or a related field.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CPP, PCI, PSP, CFE, ISO 31000, ISO 22301) are a plus.
• High integrity, confidentiality and the ability to operate in dynamic, high‑risk environments.
