Grants Management Manager (Bangladesh & Myanmar)

About the role

The Danish Refugee Council is seeking a dynamic Grants Management Manager to lead grant processes for its Bangladesh and Myanmar programmes. Reporting to the Head of Programme, the role oversees the full grant lifecycle, donor engagement and partnership development.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement fundraising and donor‑engagement strategies, including donor mapping and briefing preparation.
• Coordinate proposal development from bid identification through to high‑quality submission, ensuring alignment with donor guidelines and local partner involvement.
• Maintain and update the internal Dynamics system with all grant documents and produce monthly grant tracking reports.
• Lead the Grants Team in project kick‑off, review and close‑out meetings, ensuring compliance and sharing best practices across programmes.
• Oversee preparation, quality control and timely submission of donor reports, managing communications and responding to audit requests.
• Support Partnerships staff in drafting Sub‑Grant Agreements, ensuring policy compliance and capacity‑building for local partners.

Required profile

• Degree in Social Sciences, International Development or related field.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in grant management at an international level, with at least 2 years of people‑management experience.
• Proven ability to handle large workloads, meet deadlines and adapt in complex, challenging environments.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and stakeholder‑management skills, with fluency in written and spoken English.
• Willingness to travel to rural/remote sites and work in unstable security contexts.
