Grant Coordinator (GFATM-PR)

About the role

Save the Children is Principal Recipient of four large Global Fund grants (USD 100 million, 2021-23) and oversees 13 partners. This is a Myanmar-national position based in Yangon, reporting to the Finance & Grants Manager, with regular travel to partner project sites (about one week every two months). It covers desk reviews of partner financial reports, budget and fund disbursement, compliance, monitoring and capacity building.

Key responsibilities

• Desk review of partner financial reports, feedback to partners and correction of adjustments in the system
• Calculate country share costs using SCI CAM and review partner budgets, taking part in negotiations and reprogramming
• Prepare fund disbursement recommendations and maintain sub-grant tracking sheets reconciled against the accounting system
• Ensure partners comply with donor and Save the Children policies, and help prepare partner agreements and amendments
• Monitor partner progress, follow up corrective action plans and support audit and investigation requests
• Take part in partner capacity-building needs assessments and train partner finance staff
• Support the payables unit in estimating monthly fund requirements and work on sub-grant closeout
• Comply with the Child Safeguarding Policy, including reporting suspicions of child abuse

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in a finance-related field; professional certification (e.g. CPA/ACCA), postgraduate degree or equivalent experience preferred
• At least four years of finance experience in a national or international organization; experience in the Global Fund, external/internal audit or compliance is an asset
• Good written and spoken English, strong organization and time management
• Willingness to travel to field offices up to 25% of working time and to work under pressure
