Finance Manager

About the role

Capital Retail Limited is seeking a Finance Manager to lead day‑to‑day financial operations for its network of hypermarkets and supermarkets in Yangon. This full‑time, on‑site position will support store performance through budgeting, forecasting, cash‑flow management and strategic financial analysis.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, review and analyse financial statements and key performance metrics.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting and cash‑flow processes for retail operations.
• Ensure accurate general‑ledger entries, reconciliations and compliance with accounting standards and tax regulations.
• Support internal and external audits and maintain robust financial controls.
• Collaborate with operations and merchandising teams on cost analysis, pricing and margin optimisation.
• Provide clear financial reports and insights to senior management for decision‑making.
• Lead, mentor and develop the finance team while driving process improvements.
• Assist in the implementation and optimisation of financial systems and tools.

Required profile

• Strong financial management and accounting background, including budgeting, forecasting and reporting.
• Experience in financial analysis, cost control, margin analysis and cash‑flow management within a retail or fast‑paced commercial environment.
• Knowledge of relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, internal controls and audit procedures.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or related field; CPA, ACCA or similar certification is a plus.
• Prior experience in retail, FMCG or a similar industry is preferred.
• Ability to work on‑site in Yangon and collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams.
