English & School Education Programme Coordinator

About the role

The English & School Education Programme Coordinator will support the delivery of English language and school education programmes in Myanmar. Working on‑site in Yangon, you will collaborate with partners, manage project operations and ensure impact is measured through robust reporting and evaluation.

Key responsibilities

• Manage own workload and, where applicable, supervise junior staff to meet project deadlines.
• Hold vendors and suppliers accountable for service delivery and compliance with British Council policies.
• Plan, monitor and report on project budgets, maintain accurate financial records and support audit requirements.
• Process vendor payments in line with SAP Finance guidelines.
• Oversee project data management, grants administration, procurement and evaluation processes.
• Deliver programme events and training while supporting diversity and inclusion initiatives.
• Maintain effective relationships with clients, partners, stakeholders and external suppliers.
• Promote an inclusive, anti‑racist organisational culture and champion wellbeing across teams.

Required profile

• Degree or proven experience in Arts, Education or English within the British Council portfolio.
• Experience in a supporting role on programmes or contracts, including administrative and financial reporting.
• Good understanding of monitoring and evaluation concepts.
• Proven ability to work with external partners and stakeholders.
• Proficient written and spoken English and Burmese.
