Educational Counselor

About the role

The Educational Counselor will work on‑site in Yangon, meeting prospective students and their families to guide them through international study options in the UK, USA, Australia and Canada. The role involves providing end‑to‑end support from initial counseling to final admission.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct one‑on‑one counseling sessions and group information workshops.
• Organize and lead information sessions or workshops about study destinations and programs.
• Respond to inquiries via email and phone, providing clear and inclusive guidance.
• Assist students with documentation, timeline management and coordination with partner institutions.
• Maintain accurate student records and update education‑related CRM systems.
• Collaborate with colleagues to improve counseling processes and stay current on international education trends.

Required profile

• Strong background in educational consulting and student counseling.
• Experience delivering both individual guidance and group information sessions.
• Ability to align study choices with long‑term career pathways.
• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Counseling, Psychology, International Relations or a related field.
• Prior experience in international education advisory or student services is highly beneficial.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Cultural sensitivity and commitment to non‑discriminatory, student‑centered guidance.
