Deputy Head of School

About the role

The Deputy Head of School supports the Head of School in providing strategic and operational leadership to ensure high‑quality education and smooth school operations.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Head of School in implementing the school’s vision, mission, policies and strategic goals.
• Monitor teaching and learning standards, support curriculum development and conduct classroom observations.
• Oversee recruitment, onboarding, mentoring and professional development of teaching staff.
• Ensure a safe, positive and inclusive learning environment and manage student welfare and discipline.
• Maintain strong relationships with parents, stakeholders and represent the school at external events.
• Collaborate with Admissions, Operations, HR and other departments to ensure smooth school operations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field; Master’s or educational leadership qualification preferred.
• 5–8 years of experience in an international school or educational environment.
• Proven leadership experience such as Head of Department, Academic Coordinator or Assistant Head.
• Strong understanding of curriculum, assessment and teaching methodologies.
• Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to mentor, motivate and manage teaching teams effectively.
