Credit Officer

About the role

This full‑time, on‑site position in Yangon Region involves assessing credit applications, analysing financial statements and determining creditworthiness in line with the bank’s risk policies.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate loan applications and prepare detailed credit proposals.
• Analyse financial information to assess risk and determine credit limits.
• Monitor and review existing loan portfolios, ensuring timely renewals and maintaining asset quality.
• Collaborate with relationship managers and internal stakeholders to structure suitable credit facilities.
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with regulatory and internal guidelines.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of credit processes and controls.

Required profile

• Strong credit management and assessment experience, preferably in commercial or retail banking.
• Solid analytical skills and finance knowledge to interpret financial statements.
• Effective communication skills for internal collaboration and customer interaction.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance, Banking, Accounting, Economics, Business or a related field.
• Understanding of banking regulations, risk management principles and local market conditions.
• High integrity, attention to detail and ability to work accurately under time constraints.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office applications.
• Familiarity with banking and credit‑related systems.
