Business Development Manager (MDY)

About the role

The Business Development Manager will lead initiatives to generate and engage with business partners, building new revenue streams for the company. This role requires strong communication, critical thinking, and the ability to execute strategic plans.

Key responsibilities

• Build the company’s image by collaborating with customers, government bodies, community organisations, and employees while enforcing ethical business practices.
• Understand target markets, including industry, company, project, and contacts, and develop market strategies to attract clients.
• Maintain relationships with existing clients and identify new prospects within the assigned area.
• Possess deep knowledge of products, competition, and positioning in the corporate insurance sector.
• Stay up‑to‑date on industry developments and competitor activities.
• Delegate B2B and corporate customers as needed and create/implement business strategies and goals.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the direct supervisor.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Insurance, or a related field (MBA a plus).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in business development or sales, preferably within insurance or financial services.
• Strong understanding of corporate insurance products and market dynamics.
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Strategic thinking and analytical problem‑solving ability.
• Fluent in English.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Experience with CRM software (knowledge of specific platforms is a plus).
