Business Data Analyst

About the role

The Business Data Analyst will support MIS reporting, data analysis and business insights for the Core Insurance System. Working closely with business users, internal teams and vendors, the analyst ensures accurate reporting, smooth operations and continuous system improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Own MIS reporting and reporting support for the Core Insurance System.
• Serve as the primary support contact for Claims Processing within the system.
• Develop reports and deliver meaningful business insights to users and management.
• Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and support system and process enhancement initiatives.
• Act as liaison between business users and vendors to ensure effective communication and issue resolution.
• Investigate, troubleshoot and resolve system incidents and user‑reported issues promptly.
• Monitor, track and manage incidents through the established issue management process.
• Support data validation, reconciliation and quality‑assurance activities related to system operations.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Line Manager.

Required profile

• BSc (Hons) in Computing (UK Top‑Up) or Pearson HND in Computing (Software Engineering specialization).
• Minimum 3 months experience as a Junior IT Business Analyst, including requirements gathering and UAT support.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication, teamwork and organisational skills.
