Burma Sourcing & Trading Manager

About the role

GICG is seeking a local partner in Myanmar to lead its sourcing and trading operations. The role is based in Rangoon and involves building a sustainable supplier network, primarily for natural rubber and other competitively sourced products.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and visit factories, farms, processors and traders across Myanmar.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with owners and suppliers.
• Negotiate prices, obtain quotations, samples, specifications and product photos.
• Verify supplier credibility and product quality.
• Coordinate purchases, trucking, inspections and delivery to port.
• Work with exporters, freight forwarders and customs brokers.
• Monitor local market prices and scout new tradable products.
• Manage GICG’s trading business in Myanmar and help build a long‑term supplier network.

Required profile

• Fluent English communication skills.
• Proven ability to develop and manage supplier relationships.
• Willingness to travel throughout Myanmar as needed.
• Entrepreneurial mindset focused on long‑term business growth.
