Auditor

About the role

The Auditor will join the Internal Audit team to evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls, verify the accuracy of financial records, and ensure compliance with statutory requirements. This role involves regular interaction with multiple departments and requires travel across the country to conduct audit assignments.

Key responsibilities

• Submit timely audit reports to the Internal Audit Manager and Head of Department for all audits performed during the year.
• Complete audit working papers and forward them to the Internal Audit Manager.
• Prepare audit result reports and recommendations for management, demonstrating strong written communication.
• Assess internal controls, financial record accuracy, and operational efficiency using professional audit standards.
• Conduct compliance reviews to ensure adherence to government statutes such as taxation and employment laws.
• Perform additional duties as directed by the Internal Audit Manager and Head of Department.
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with other departments.

Required profile

• University degree in Commerce, Accounting or Business; a graduate degree in Accounting or Management is preferred.
• At least one year of experience or relevant education in auditing, accounting, or operations.
• Good understanding of auditing and accounting practices and a willingness to learn new audit techniques.
• Strong organizational skills, maturity, and ability to work under constant deadlines.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and Myanmar.
• Willingness and ability to travel extensively within the country for audit assignments.
