Assistant Manager – Planning & Strategy

About the role

The Assistant Manager (Planning & Strategic) will support The Perpetual Company Limited’s business planning and growth initiatives in its rice trading operations. Based in Yangon, the role is full‑time and on‑site, focusing on market analysis, sales forecasting and performance tracking to drive sustainable export growth.

Key responsibilities

• Collect, compile and analyse daily/weekly market prices for rice and other agricultural commodities from sources such as the Bayintnaung Commodity Exchange and Ministry of Commerce.
• Maintain databases of international buyers, export volumes and competitor activities, and produce regular reports for management.
• Collaborate with regional branches to assess crop production, procurement opportunities and milling capacities.
• Lead GACC registration and coordinate warehouse registrations, ensuring monthly inventory updates with the Procurement Department.
• Conduct market surveys, build relationships with government ministries and trade associations, and provide data for food‑security reserves and bank guarantees.
• Prepare presentations and support planning meetings, communicating insights to cross‑functional teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or a related field.
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to work with large data sets.
• Excellent communication skills and experience coordinating with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
