Assistant Manager, Fuel Management

About the role

The Assistant Manager – Fuel Management oversees fuel consumption across fleet operations, ensuring that usage aligns with GPS mileage, operational records and company policies. This role helps prevent misuse, reduce costs, and supports accurate client billing and supplier payments.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and control daily fuel consumption by vehicle, client, driver, route and package type.
• Review and verify fuel requests before approval according to company policy.
• Reconcile fuel usage with GPS mileage, vehicle attendance, trip records and operational data.
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly fuel reconciliation reports for management.
• Coordinate with Finance for fuel cost confirmation, supplier payment and client billing support.
• Identify and investigate discrepancies, abnormal consumption and suspicious claims.
• Assist in developing fuel control procedures, approval processes and reporting formats.
• Supervise the fuel control team and assign daily tasks.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Business, Logistics, Engineering or related field.
• 3‑5 years of progressive experience in fuel control, fleet operations or transport logistics.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Myanmar.
• Analytical mindset with problem‑solving abilities.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel and reporting capabilities.
• Experience with GPS systems.
• Familiarity with fuel management systems.
