Assistant Manager Business Development

About the role

We are seeking a dynamic Assistant Manager for Business Development to support our growth in the agricultural sector. The role combines market research, data analysis, and stakeholder management to drive strategic expansion.

Key responsibilities

• Collect, compile and analyse daily/weekly market prices for domestic and international agricultural commodities such as rice, beans, maize, rubber and FOB prices.
• Maintain databases of international buyers, export volumes and conduct competitor analysis covering export potential, target countries, product types and valuation.
• Collaborate with regional branches to assess crop cultivation, yields and procurement opportunities, and map domestic rice and parboiled rice mill capacities.
• Lead GACC registration processes, manage sub‑accounts and coordinate warehouse registrations and monthly inventories with the Procurement Department.
• Conduct market surveys to identify new business opportunities and build strong relationships with government ministries, associations and key institutional partners.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or a related field.
• Diploma or Master’s degree in Strategic Business Development.
• Experience in sales, marketing or a related field.
• Strong communication, organisational skills and ability to travel for client meetings and market exploration.
• Comfortable using a computer for various tasks.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
• Experience with online meeting tools, email management and mobile devices.
