Assistant Manager, Business Continuity Management

About the role

The Assistant Manager, Business Continuity Management supports the implementation, maintenance and execution of Prudential’s Business Continuity Management programme in Myanmar. Working under the BCM Manager, the role ensures that all departments are prepared to respond effectively to disruptions.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate with business units to collect, compile and maintain BCM artefacts such as Business Impact Analyses, Business Continuity Plans, call trees and IT Disaster Recovery records.
• Provide security input for business travel, assessing destinations, routes, checkpoints and recent incidents.
• Monitor emerging threats, assess employee impacts and support HR and Crisis Management Team (CMT) response actions.
• Guide departments on BCM template usage, perform completeness checks and track deliverables.
• Support planning, coordination and documentation of BCM tests, exercises and awareness activities.

Required profile

• 2‑3 years of experience in business continuity, operational resilience, crisis management or related control functions.
• Strong understanding of Myanmar’s security, political, travel and regulatory environment.
• Degree in Business Management, Information Technology or a related field.
• Good coordination, stakeholder management and documentation skills.

Required skills

• Familiarity with security advisory tools such as EXERA.
• Practical knowledge of Business Continuity Plans, call trees and IT Disaster Recovery.
• Understanding of Business Impact Analysis, RTO and RPO concepts.
