Assistant Manager – Business Continuity Management

About the role

Prudential is seeking an Assistant Manager to support the Business Continuity Management (BCM) programme. Working under the BCM Manager, you will help ensure that all departments are prepared to respond to disruptions and maintain continuity of critical operations.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate with business units to collect, compile and maintain BCM artefacts such as Business Impact Analyses, Business Continuity Plans, call trees, tabletop exercises and IT disaster‑recovery records.
• Provide security input for business travel by assessing destinations, routes, checkpoints, transport methods, local restrictions and recent incidents.
• Monitor emerging threats, assess employee impact, and support HR and Crisis Management Team (CMT) actions, including CMT activation and meeting coordination.
• Guide departments on BCM templates, perform initial completeness checks and track deliverables, escalating gaps or delays.
• Support planning, execution and documentation of BCM tests, exercises and awareness activities, including attendance tracking and post‑exercise reporting.
• Maintain accurate BCM documentation, trackers and repositories for audit and due‑diligence requests.
• Prepare status updates, summaries and reports for management review and drive continuous improvement of BCM practices.

Required profile

• 2–3 years of experience in business continuity, operational resilience, crisis management, operational risk or a related control function.
• Hands‑on responsibility for Business Impact Analyses, continuity plans and exercises.
• Experience in a regulated or structured corporate environment is an advantage.
• Strong understanding of Myanmar’s local operating environment.
