Assistant HR Manager

About the role

The Assistant HR Manager will work on‑site in Yangon, supporting the HR Manager with the day‑to‑day delivery of core HR services. This full‑time position covers recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management and record‑keeping while ensuring compliance with company policies and Myanmar labour law.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the full recruitment cycle, from job posting to candidate selection and onboarding.
• Maintain accurate personnel records and HRIS data, preparing regular HR reports.
• Support payroll processing and benefits administration.
• Handle employee queries, grievance procedures and promote positive employee relations.
• Organise training sessions and coordinate learning initiatives.
• Contribute to HR projects such as policy updates, engagement programmes and process improvements.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in core HR functions including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations and performance management.
• Strong understanding of general HR principles and local labour regulations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively at all levels.
• Good organisational and time‑management abilities, attention to detail and discretion with confidential information.
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field; HR certifications are a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency with HRIS or similar HR information systems.
• Experience in payroll and benefits administration.
• Competence in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, email).
