About the role
The Assessment Specialist will work at the intersection of analysis and coordination to support humanitarian response in Myanmar. Based in Yangon, the role reports to the IMPACT Country Representative/Research Manager and collaborates with OCHA, UN agencies, INGOs and national organisations.
Key responsibilities
- Co‑chair the Myanmar Needs Monitoring and Analysis Working Group (NMAWG) and represent IMPACT within the Inter‑Cluster Coordination Group.
- Facilitate regular working‑group meetings, promote data sharing, and develop standard operating procedures for data protection.
- Lead joint analysis for the Data Enablers consortium, identify information gaps and produce analytical outputs.
- Support rapid needs assessments during sudden‑onset emergencies and ensure de‑duplication of research efforts.
- Contribute to IMPACT’s country strategy, donor engagement, project conceptualisation, reporting and M&E.
Required profile
- At least 4 years of relevant experience in humanitarian assessment, research, or program management.
- Proven ability to network and coordinate with senior external partners, including UN agencies and NGOs.
- Strong understanding of the humanitarian aid system and experience in coordination forums.
- Excellent analytical, critical‑thinking and communication skills.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of Burmese is an asset.
