Area Sales Manager (Pharmaceutical – Prescription channel)

About the role

We are looking for a results‑driven Area Sales Manager to lead and expand our Pharmaceutical Prescription channel. The role focuses on achieving sales targets, growing market presence, and guiding a high‑performing sales team across the assigned territory.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute area sales strategies to meet business objectives and sales targets.
• Identify new business opportunities and strengthen relationships with healthcare professionals, distributors, and key customers.
• Lead, coach, and motivate the sales team to deliver outstanding performance.
• Monitor sales performance, analyse market trends and recommend improvement initiatives.
• Ensure effective territory coverage and execution of sales activities.
• Prepare sales forecasts, reports and market analysis for management review.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to support product launches and marketing initiatives.
• Maintain compliance with company policies and industry regulations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Pharmacy, Life Sciences or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of sales experience in the pharmaceutical industry, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role.
• Proven track record of achieving sales targets and leading successful sales teams.
• Strong leadership, communication, negotiation and analytical abilities.
• Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
