Area Sales Executive

About the role

The Area Sales Executive drives sales performance and business growth within an assigned territory, leading a field sales team and managing customer and distributor relationships. The role reports to the Division Sales Manager and requires frequent travel and possible relocation.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve sales targets and order objectives by ensuring product availability and healthy stock turnover.
• Manage sales territories through regular visits, identifying and developing new business opportunities.
• Strengthen product distribution and improve visibility of key brands and SKUs across outlets.
• Build strong relationships with outlet owners and distributors, negotiating and executing market promotions.
• Ensure appropriate cooler placement at priority outlets and maintain them in good condition.
• Execute in‑outlet merchandising activities according to company standards.
• Address customer and distributor concerns promptly and coordinate resolutions.
• Monitor market conditions, competitor activities, and customer feedback, providing timely insights.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant sales experience, preferably in FMCG.
• Strong interpersonal and relationship‑building skills with a team‑oriented mindset.
• Results‑oriented with good problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills.
• Willingness and ability to travel within the assigned territory.
• Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and deliver results.
