Accountant

About the role

The Accountant is responsible for accurate and timely financial reporting in line with IFRS and MAS standards. This role supports month‑end closes, audit coordination, and financial analysis to aid decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare financial reports complying with IFRS and MAS standards and ensure timely delivery.
• Manage reconciliations and oversee accounting processes, including consolidation reporting when required.
• Coordinate and support audit activities to ensure compliance and smooth completion.
• Analyze financial variances and provide insights for strategic decisions.
• Assist with financial setup and integration of new products or systems.
• Perform ad‑hoc tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Professional certification such as CPA or ACCA (Part II) preferred.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in accounting or financial management, preferably in micro‑finance, banking, or regulated sectors.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and attention‑to‑detail skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, especially for liaising with regulatory bodies.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with ERP systems (e.g., Dynamics 365, SAP).
• Familiarity with Power BI.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
