Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Accountant to join our finance team. The role involves managing daily cash flows, maintaining accurate records, and supporting the Finance Manager in various accounting tasks.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and prepare the daily cash book and management reports promptly and accurately.
• Monitor daily stock movements, conduct monthly physical stock audits, and document any variances.
• Review pre‑order purchases, perform variance analysis on over‑ or under‑purchasing activities.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts and compare actual income and expenditures against the approved budget.
• Record daily financial transactions using V6 accounting software.
• Manage accounts receivable (AR) and accounts payable (AP) operations.
• Prepare and maintain accounting documents, journal entries, and ensure timely completion of financial processes.
• Participate in physical inventory counts and accurately document any storage issues or damages.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Finance Manager.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
• Diploma in LCCI Levels I, II, and III.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel functions.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Familiarity with V6 accounting software (advantageous).
