Accountant – Financial & Student Voucher Management

About the role

We are looking for an Accountant to manage the institution’s financial transactions, maintain accurate records, and oversee the student voucher and registration payment processes. The role combines traditional accounting duties with direct support for students, parents, and external partners.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries using Odoo.
• Process invoices, vendor payments, and expense reports in a timely manner.
• Coordinate the student voucher process: verify eligibility, process requests, and reconcile payments with sponsors or educational institutions.
• Handle student registration payments, tuition fees, and related expenses; respond to inquiries, refunds, and financial aid applications.
• Reconcile bank statements, monitor departmental budgets, track expenses, and prepare financial summaries for management.
• Prepare and distribute periodic financial reports, statements, and analyses.
• Support audits by providing documentation and explanations as needed.
• Collaborate with academic, administrative, and student services teams to resolve financial issues and improve processes.

Required profile

• Proven experience in accounting or finance, including handling accounts payable/receivable and general ledger.
• Familiarity with Odoo or similar accounting software.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with students, parents, and external agencies.
• Ability to analyze variances, recommend corrective actions, and support budget compliance.
