Account Director

About the role

Newness, a fast‑growing branding and digital marketing agency in Yangon, is seeking an experienced Account Director to lead its client portfolio. Reporting to the Executive Director, you will oversee a team of 4‑7 account professionals and drive growth for key accounts.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and develop a team of account managers, setting performance goals and fostering a collaborative culture.
• Act as the senior point of contact for high‑value clients, maintaining relationships at CEO and Director level to ensure satisfaction and retention.
• Lead proposal development and pitching, identify new business opportunities, and drive revenue through acquisition and upselling.
• Define strategic direction for each account, coordinating with Creative, Digital and Project teams to deliver integrated campaigns.
• Manage budgets, reporting and billing, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope and budget while improving SOPs.

Required profile

• 5–8 years of experience in account management or client servicing, preferably within a digital marketing, branding or integrated agency.
• Proven track record in new‑business development and high‑stakes pitching.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications or related field.
• Strong leadership, people‑management and communication skills in English and Burmese.
