Technical Advisor (Health)

About the role

World Vision is seeking a Technical Advisor to lead health and nutrition strategy and programme design in Myanmar. Based in the Yangon head office, you will work with a multidisciplinary team to improve the health outcomes of vulnerable children.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, review and monitor the health and nutrition technical strategy and annual implementation plan aligned with global standards.
• Lead evidence‑based programme design, including root‑cause analysis and integration of health and nutrition across sector programmes.
• Provide technical guidance, capacity building and quality‑assurance support to the health and nutrition team and partners.
• Oversee monitoring, evaluation and learning tools, capture evidence and disseminate learning internally and externally.
• Represent World Vision in government, UN, NGO and donor forums to advocate for health and nutrition priorities.
• Lead technical input throughout the grants acquisition cycle and maintain a funding pipeline.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years experience implementing health and/or nutrition programmes in Myanmar.
• Master’s degree in Public Health, Nutrition or related field (or equivalent professional experience) and a Bachelor’s degree in a health‑related discipline.
• Valid SAMA certification or evidence that certification is in process.
• Strong understanding of Myanmar health policies, health systems and community health services.
