ICT Associate

About the role

The ICT Associate will support UNOPS Myanmar in delivering secure, reliable and client‑focused information and communication technology services. Working within UNOPS frameworks, the incumbent will help implement ICT strategies, maintain infrastructure and ensure smooth operation of hardware and software across the office.

Key responsibilities

• Implement ICT and operational strategies in line with UNOPS policies and regulations.
• Provide fast, friendly and effective user support for hardware, audio‑visual and software issues.
• Advise on IT and systems planning exercises and contribute to the development of ICT standards and strategies.
• Maintain an accurate inventory of computers, audio‑visual equipment and software in compliance with asset‑management policies.
• Coordinate with UNOPS headquarters and other UN agencies to share expertise and best practices.
• Ensure installation, operation and maintenance of all UNOPS hardware, including timely updates and patches.
• Oversee ICT services and projects, providing consulting and audit support as needed.
• Network with internal clients to address concerns and improve service delivery.

Required profile

• Understanding of UNOPS rules, regulations and ICT frameworks.
• Client‑oriented mindset with strong communication skills.
• Ability to supervise ICT personnel and coordinate with headquarters and other UN entities.
• Experience in delivering ICT services in a humanitarian or development context.
