Programme Associate – Cash Management (SSA)

About the role

The Programme Associate (Cash Management) supports policy and programme activities to ensure food assistance programmes meet their financial and operational requirements. The role focuses on grant management, cash‑based transfers, and coordination with partners within the SSA region.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate with SO Managers and Activity Managers to plan, monitor and utilise grants for FLA budgets and cash‑based transfers.
• Review and process monthly CP payments based on signed FLAs.
• Create and release Service Outline Agreements (SOA) in the WFP corporate financial system WINGS for cash‑based transfer, food distribution, and cash distribution agreements.
• Generate Purchase Requests for cash to beneficiaries (PRCB) and competitive services (PRCS), and work with the Procurement unit to create or amend Purchase Orders (POCB, POCS).
• Request PR release from the Finance Officer through the WSS system.

Required profile

• Experience in programme finance, grant management, or cash‑based transfer operations.
• Ability to work closely with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
• Familiarity with WFP financial procedures and reporting standards.
