Programme Analyst

About the role

The Programme Analyst supports UNDP’s commitment to accountable, risk‑informed, and results‑oriented programme delivery in Myanmar. Reporting to the Deputy Resident Representative, the role provides second‑line assurance, quality control, and technical leadership across community governance and local economic recovery programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Review programme and project designs to ensure robust theories of change, results frameworks and alignment with UNDP strategic priorities.
• Provide independent quality‑assurance inputs to integrated work plans, project documents and results reporting.
• Identify, track and mitigate programme and project‑level risks, including fiduciary, delivery, partner and reputational risks.
• Ensure compliance with UNDP Enterprise Risk Management, social and environmental standards and gender equality commitments.
• Support strategic positioning, partnership development and resource mobilisation by analysing contextual signals and donor landscapes.
• Facilitate internal and external communications to maintain consistent messaging and knowledge sharing across units.

Required profile

• Strong analytical skills with experience in programme assurance, risk management and compliance.
• Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and senior management in a complex operating environment.
• Commitment to gender equality and inclusive development.

Required skills

• Experience reviewing and developing results frameworks and theories of change.
• Knowledge of UNDP risk management and safeguard standards.
• Proficiency in monitoring, evaluation and reporting processes.
