Junior Electrician

About the role

JTI is looking for a Junior Electrician to support the production line in its Mingaladon facility, Yangon. You will work under the supervision of the Maintenance Manager, ensuring that Maker and Packer machines run efficiently, safely and at the required quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning and minor troubleshooting on assigned Maker or Packer machines.
• Assist senior electricians with electrical fault diagnosis and corrective actions.
• Follow brand‑change procedures and ensure correct material usage according to specifications.
• Execute regular quality checks and record machine downtime and waste in the GSCA system.
• Carry out shutdown and start‑up procedures for planned long‑stop periods, adhering to check‑lists and DDS directions.
• Participate in EEHS projects, IWS activities, deep‑cleaning, 5S/3R initiatives and other plant improvement tasks.

Required profile

• Basic understanding of electrical systems and willingness to learn on the job.
• Ability to follow detailed procedures and check‑lists accurately.
• Good communication skills to work with supervisors and senior technicians.
• Commitment to safety, quality and production KPIs such as OEE, reject ratio and zero stock.
