About the role
As a Java Developer you will design and implement systems that detect and mitigate abusive behaviour on our platform. You will work with large‑scale real‑time and batch data pipelines, leveraging Google Cloud technologies to protect the user experience.
Key responsibilities
- Design, build and maintain services that identify abusive patterns across the platform.
- Develop and operate data pipelines using BigQuery, Scala, Scio, Luigi, Styx and Docker.
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to integrate new detection methods quickly and accurately.
- Monitor and optimise the performance of real‑time and batch processing workloads.
- Translate abuse use‑cases into technical specifications and actionable mitigation strategies.
Required profile
- At least 6 years of experience solving business problems with data and advanced analytics.
- Minimum 4 years of experience leading data analyst or data science teams.
- Proven ability to build predictive and statistical models.
- Strong communication skills, comfortable presenting findings to decision‑makers.
