Intermediate Automation Engineer

About the role

The Intermediate Automation Engineer will partner with multiple business departments to identify, design and deliver AI‑driven automation solutions that improve efficiency, quality and outcomes. Working within Centurion Systems’ internal AI platform, you will guide projects from discovery through implementation and adoption while ensuring robust governance and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Engage independently with departments such as Sales, HR, Finance, Technical Support, Production and Marketing to map processes, quantify inefficiencies and maintain a prioritized pipeline of automation opportunities.
• Translate process challenges into well‑defined technical solutions, producing scope, data classification, risk and benefit assessments for informed decision‑making.
• Design, build, deploy and maintain production automation agents and end‑to‑end workflows, owning them throughout their lifecycle.
• Develop and sustain core components of the internal AI platform, including model gateway, routing policies, agent runtimes, network zones, retrieval and knowledge services, integration layers and user access surfaces.
• Extend platform capabilities to enable reusable services, reducing the cost of additional automations.
• Implement and manage control and governance mechanisms such as agent manifests, authorisation rules, budgets, guardrails, evaluation suites and immutable audit logging.
• Own operational health of platform components, covering monitoring, capacity planning, cost management, incident response and root‑cause analysis.
• Ensure all automations comply with data classification, privacy and security requirements, keeping restricted information within Centurion‑controlled infrastructure.
• Define and maintain evaluation and regression suites to quantify solution quality and drive continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Strong engineering capability combined with business engagement skills.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
