Health & Safety Environment Executive

About the role

This position ensures compliance with legal and corporate health, safety and environmental (HSE) requirements, promotes a safe working environment and supports employee well‑being programmes. The role also assists with first‑aid provision, occupational health monitoring and employee care initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret and apply Myanmar OSH Law 2019 and related legislation, keeping the HSE Committee informed of changes.
• Plan and develop the HSE Management System roadmap to achieve OHSE objectives.
• Conduct required legislative assessments, maintain records and perform regular HSE inspections with monthly reporting.
• Investigate accidents and near‑miss incidents, documenting findings on appropriate forms.
• Arrange internal or external health surveillance as instructed.
• Identify training and certification needs to meet legislative and HSE guidance standards.
• Introduce new techniques for improving health, safety and welfare to the HSE Committee.
• Travel as required for operational support and communicate changes to relevant branches and employees.

Required profile

• Graduate in Science/Engineering or professional safety certificates; formal training in safety and risk management.
• At least five years of experience in safety management, preferably in a warehouse or industrial setting.
• Strong knowledge of HSE standards, regulations and basic medical knowledge for first aid.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities; capable of training and engaging staff in safety programmes.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and intermediate English language skills.
